It’s somewhere between uncomfortable and unsettling for a man to ask for help. There’s an unspoken rule that we should all know who we are, what we want, and what to do. It’s baked into us at a young age and though it may fade over time, it never fully leaves.
Because of this, we tend to go it alone – whatever ‘it’ is in a given moment or situation. We keep our uncertainty to ourselves because asking questions makes us look weak, and we don’t really share what we’ve learned because that might jeopardize our competitive edge.
And what happens? We all lose. Those who don’t know stay stuck, absolutely convinced they’re the only ones who don’t know how to handle something. Those who do know stay silent, keeping their hard-earned wisdom to themselves – even though wisdom is amplified when it’s shared.
We created CAMARADERIE because it’s time to make it okay for men to help each other.
This is a place where helping another man replaces pain with honor, where asking and sharing are the new markers of our manhood. One man’s experience becomes another man’s wisdom in a way that helps us all become better.
Sure, we must fight some fights on our own, but with CAMARADERIE no man will face his questions alone.
